IGN: kimchi_nabe
Nick: Probably no nickname but I might have been impersonating Dalarn
Faction: I forgot but I think Rhúdel?
Reason for ban: Griefing Time banned for: I assume indefinitely
Date banned: Around 2 years ago was when I was last online
Reason for appeal:
I wanted to check back on the server and my builds but saw that I had been banned for griefing.
I can give 2 examples of what might have been considered griefing during my time playing:
1) I made a base in a very secluded (far away from any waypoints) area and was exploring the nether farming quartz for xp when I stumbled upon a base built into a fortress. From what I remember I don't think I broke any blocks in the base, but I dug my way through netherrack to get to an entrance to the base. I also explored the middle earth connections that nether base had but it was all protected so I wouldn't have been able to grief anything.
2) I broke into foxtra's big build in the gulf (I forgot the name of the build but remember foxtra) via going under a wall that was still unprotected and then making a waypoint there. I had been invited in an official capacity to that build when it was still small and only really had that big ship in the middle, to build for the Rhúdel faction. I had a waypoint there but I left the fellowship owning the waypoint so I couldn't access it anymore. The only instance of griefing in this case was breaking open a path into the build and placing the blocks back to how they were.
(Example number 2 I believe is the more serious of the two, I just placed them in chronological order)
I hope by confessing my sins I can receive absolution and be allowed to play on the server again. I hope I won't repeat my offences if unbanned.
Thanks for reading
Hey Kimchi_nabe.
Staff has decided to accept your unban request. You are free to return to the server. However, please ensure that you do not repeat your offences (griefing of ANY kind near a player base) or violate any of the other rules. That responsibility rests on your shoulders after all. I'd recommend refreshing yourself on the rules here: https://www.theoneringlotr.com/rules Looking forward to your return.
