Okay. Hi.
If you're reading this, it probably means you were a part of that utter horrific attempt at a siege. I'm here to sort this all out.
I need to make something very very clear: BOTH sides screwed up, hard. Y'all broke almost every war rule.
I'll start chronologically with the first issue, and the root of all the other issues:
The war book.
The so-called 'war rules' book is a complete failure. Here's what it needs to be like:
"War between Gondor & Gundabad
Participating Allies:
Gundabad -
• Angmar, Draigiaun, Near Harad, Mordor, & Rhudel. (PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF AN ALLIED FACTION THAT IS WRITTEN IN THIS WAR BOOK, YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE SIEGES. This means small little custom titles like "Grey Wizard" can't actually participate in war sieges as it is not a faction.)
Gundabad -
• (Idek what allies Gondor had as it WASN'T WRITTEN DOWN)
Specifications:
• Troops (allied and faction) are allowed.
• Faction armor only (You also needed to specify whether or not you wanted enchants)
• Brews and potions are allowed.
Siege bases:
Gundabad -
• Maw of Hope: X, Y, Z
• Carn Dum: X, Y, Z
• Barad Dur: X, Y, Z
Gondor -
• Eayan Alssahra: X, Y, Z
• Orodruin: X, Y, Z
Leader signatures:
Gundabad: RandomBalrog
Gondor: Captain_Moore"
War books should be as detailed as possible so as no confusion can happen.
The NEXT ISSUE is how you declare a siege! A siege must be declared ahead of time so leaders of both factions have time to prepare, get people online, set up a siege camp, etc etc. When a siege is declared it MUST include the build that will be sieged.
The next next issue was the bannering. Staff should always be allowed to DOUBLE CHECK every component of the siege so as to prevent issues like that happening again. (I also heard some say that the bridge wasn't wide enough, so if that's the case, that needs to be taken care of, or the city needs to be removed from the war book)
There were also some minor complaints about troops and whatever but I think I've covered the most of it.
Here's what needs to happen:
This siege did not count, it was a complete failure. Now, the war book needs to be REWRITTEN and Captain_Moore MUST sign it. (I heard that Captain_Moore spent a lot of time avoiding signing it... which you can't do.) Next, higher staff (an Admin such as myself or Theo) need to approve the war book. After that, the first siege may be declared at least a couple hours ahead of time by either faction. Making it very clear which base is being sieged.
If this happens again, I'm dissolving the war and both y'all are gunna have some consequences.
P.S. I understand that some of this confusion had to do with staff's management of the siege. And for that, I apologize on behalf of the entire staff team. This is the first war that has happened for months, so I can't really blame staff for not knowing what to do. Hopefully this post helps them.
In the future though, it's best to come to someone like myself or Lor or bagel.

I did not "avoid signing" the war book. I had to leave for an hour and a half, and when I came back, the person who had the war book in his inventory, Rug, was offline.
