I’ve been dreading writing this for several months now but the time has come!
Eventually, all things must come to an end and, when I can, I like to end things when they are still good. When they still hurt to leave.
Which is why I am leaving as Owner. I actually made this decision several months ago. But as you can imagine, recent events on the server have delayed those plans. However, I can delay no longer!
I am both scared and deeply sad to be stepping away from this incredible community. You all are some of the brightest, most friendly, and most talented people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. And whether you’ve been here for years or you joined yesterday, I am incredibly grateful that you are part of what has always made TOR special: the community, and specifically, you. Especially after the tidal wave of support y’all showed after recent events… I was beyond humbled to see that TOR clearly means as much to you as it does to me. Thank you.
And fear not, I am leaving you in the most capable hands! Our lovely @Mido. will become the new owner. As you all know, he has the compassion and creativity that will make him, no doubt, the best owner The One Ring has ever seen.
So please give him a very warm welcome. Owner can be a very exhausting and daunting position, so support him by showing your love and appreciation.

Actually… one last thing. I’d like to take a page from Bilbo’s book and throw a party. So join me this Sunday, 8/21, @ 13:00 EDT (17:00 UTC) for a community hangout! We’ll play games, maybe I’ll host an event (CTF? :o), and of course have a feast that will absolutely not devolve into chaos ;).
