You now have access to the /pweather command! We figured there's no harm in players having that command so we added it!
The way the command works is /pweather weather
Examples:
/pweather clear
/pweather storm
/pweather rain

Yeah Fin Phoenix is right. If you feel like you want to see rain then just don't use the command. It's only visual.

Rain does nothing in-game except prevent visibility and cause extraordinary amounts of noise. Yes, it may make fishing a little bit easier, and it helps crops go a little faster, but that's it.
Rain in Minecraft is a very poorly designed feature. It does not provide helpful immersion and offers nothing but a distraction.
Rain in real life at least offers a purpose and does more than spawning little droplets on the ground and make noise. Rain in Minecraft does nothing that makes it worthwhile.
So, we opened up a convenient way for players to toggle rainfall IF they WANT. It is not forced, so if you want rain, you can keep rain. There are several other ways to stop rain client-side, including optifine, this is merely a more convenient way for the player.

I agree Paladin. I think that since weather is something people have to deal with in real life it should be the same in game.

And so ends the scourge of weather.

By the way, in-case you don't understand what the command does, it simply changes your client-side weather to whatever you chose.
(hopefully that is pretty obvious heh)
