QUESTIONS:
What are some examples of your leadership and/or teamwork experiences?
In terms of minecraft? Former admin on TOR and another server ages ago that I can't recall the name of ATM. Former faction leader of Dunland, Rhun/3rd in Command of Mordor, 2nd in command of Umbar, Rhun a 2nd time, One of the Founders of Mazar-Dum.
IRL? Crew leader at a movie theater. Sadly ended up being the guy who ended up leading by example and doing everything the other crew leaders ended up being too lazy to do. Also a minor actor at a renaissance fair, and the team improv my group had to do when wandering the fair and doing our thing was a fun little bit of brain work.
What do you excel at?
Being an archive of obscure facts from the old days of the server.
Puns.
Holding a grudge against Rohan for something an NPC did 10 years ago.
Accidentally kicking off events that led to a last-alliance style coalition against someone when I ended up giving away the one ring to someone else after Darcy randomly raffled it into my inventory, leading to them being an even greater menace in PvP and ending in them going into self-banishment as a Snowman in Forod after losing the ring.
Being an avatar of chaos and shenanigans
How familiar are you with the Lord of the Rings mod?
Familiar to the point of it being detrimental. Old knowledge crosses over with new knowledge and leads to information blending.
What is an example of personal growth you have done recently?
I've been working on actually making my buildings look decent. Still not great, but somewhat better. Outside of game? I've been working on keeping my patience when helping to take care of a newly deaf-blind family member.
What is your role in the community, currently?
While I've been gone for "a bit," I would like to try to get back to my old self of being around fairly often to provide help when needed, whether I am staff or not.
The last time you found yourself in a disagreement with another player, how did you approach it?
Hard to remember the last time I had a conflict, but usually, I think I generally try to either defuse the situation or simply cut my losses and just back off.
Naturally, not everything is perfect on TOR; what do you think needs improvement?
Not entirely too sure, honestly, with how I've been missing for a while. Maybe adding a bookshelf/enchanting table to the market to help ease the barrier of entry to getting GFac for PvP for those who don't have contact with established enough players who would let them use theirs, or maybe just add an enchanting table to spawn like in the previous spawn. (If there is one and I've just missed it, whoops.)
Lastly, what motivates you to continue playing and to apply to the staff team?
TOR was a big part of my life back when I was active, and it'd be nice to be able to start showing it love again like I used to.
